Winter Daphne

At the time when this planet ends,
everyone selling their despair at a loss.
While we only want to live [ordinarily],
it's difficult for us--

I told that kind of story with you.
White skin. The top of a steel pylon.
I was looking at you who laughed,
"Maybe I was born on the wrong planet, huh?"

You don't need me, don't, don't.
You don't need me.
I can't do anything--

Goodbye, bye, bye.
Though I loved you,
it's a trivial thing, see.

We'll both be someone different
if we meet again someday.
You'll cease to exist, see,
and living will be bitter.

This planet is continuing on.
You and the stars not intersecting,
I'm becoming an apathetic person.
I also forget the cherished things--

I understand you're gone.
The corners of town. Visages. Searching.
Tears are falling at the railroad crossing.
I drown all alone--

You don't need me, don't, don't.
If I were there,
I'd hurt you someday, see.

Goodbye, bye, bye.
Though I loved you,
it's better for me to've forgotten, see.

We'll both be someone different
if we meet again someday.
You'll cease to exist, see,
and living will be bitter.

A meteor is streaming by.
There's also no words to wish with.
You'll forget about me someday,
and so I will vanish.

Author's Comments
"'Ride a bright red steam locomotive.'"

Acacia

Everyone has the same face.
This town is going a little insane;
Ride a bright red steam locomotive, now.

Through the ash-colored sky do birds fly.
We don't know their names, but they're shouting.
The bright red steam locomotive shakes, now--

We can't go anywhere at all.
The sound of goodbye.
We did understand it at some part,
The voice that stopped ringing.

Say that it's better to've died,
And one day you laughed.
Words don't come out very well--
Simply, simply the locomotive is carrying us
And advancing toward the next town,
Ever onwards, ever onwards.

Fluttering and fluttering, and swaying and swaying,
And fluttering and fluttering,
The seasons are changing.

Fluttering and fluttering, and swaying and swaying,
And fluttering and fluttering--

Everyone is ceasing to exist.
This town being forgotten a little,
Ride a bright red steam locomotive, now.

In the indigo-colored night were people.
We don't know their names, but they're crying.
The bright red steam locomotive shakes, now--

Someday the flowers'll also wither.
The sound of everyday.
Misrepresenting, they're piling up,
The ambiguous voices.

Say that it's better to've died,
And one day you laughed.
Words don't come out very well--
Simply, simply the locomotive is carrying us
And advancing toward the next town,
Ever onwards, ever onwards.

Fluttering and fluttering, and swaying and swaying,
And fluttering and fluttering,
The seasons are changing.

Fluttering and fluttering, and swaying and swaying,
And fluttering and fluttering--

Fluttering and fluttering, and swaying and swaying,
And fluttering and fluttering,
The seasons are changing.

Fluttering and fluttering, and swaying and swaying,
And fluttering and fluttering--
